Amazon Prime gets into the True Crime game with LORENA
I was too young to follow the Lorena Bobbitt case way back in 1993, instead I found out about it through its now mythological status in the true crime community. The profoundly complex case, that kind of went to shit after a media frenzy surrounded its defendant Mrs. Bobbitt, is finally getting the deep exploration its always called for via the Amazon Prime streaming service.
Executive produced by horror maestro and super-producer Jordan Peele, the four part series Lorena explores the aftermath of that sleepy night in 1993 when a seemingly normal suburban housewife went crazy and cut off her husband's penis.
