Five Nights At Freddy's finds a director

Genre titan and monster-hit maker, Blumhouse, acquired the rights to the video game, Five Nights at Freddy's last March and have now begun work on the horror project. And the first step is complete; Harry Potter and Home Alone filmmaker, Chris Columbus, has been tapped to write and direct the feature, per Deadline.

I haven't played the game itself but I remember the hype around the series. It's a basic tale of a security guard locked in a toy store overnight facing off against evil toy robots. Shallow as it may seem, in the expert hands of Blumhouse Productions, I'm expected some tremendously frightful stuff.
