Universal's Cowboy Ninja Viking lands Breaking Bad Director

Can we all just pause and reflect on that title for a minute?Seriously, this movie could star ANYONE and it would sell. But it doesn't star just anyone, in fact it's headed by Chris Pratt, star of seemingly every future blockbuster. Pratt and Universal, after the success of Jurassic World, have pushed the project ahead and are now gearing up to pre-production, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And now its been announced that Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones alumni, Michelle MacLaren has landed the director's gig.
The film, based on an Image comic of the same name, tells the story of an intelligence unit that seizes multiple personality disorder patients and creates Triplets, killers who have three distinct personalities. The deadliest Triplet of them all, the Cowboy Ninja Viking is called in when some agents go rogue.
Huh. I'm not sure I'm in the bag for this one, I'll have to wait and see some footage. It just strikes me as a film within a film, a fake movie we'd see a character watching in the background.
But Cowboy Ninja Viking is real. And it arrives June 28th, 2019.
